Casino Royale! It's SO GOOD!
^_________________________________^
That is all. I'm going to play Ookami.
Please watch this. Please. I just saw it on telly and nearly died of amusement.
Ahm back in Texas, /hurray!
*beats self to death for writing /hurray*
Journey long and boring, as one might expect of nearly 24 hours of sitting and waiting. But diversions were good, and arrival most appreciated. And various things of note did happen along the way...
a) I love Johnathan Strange and Mr Norrell so hard. I have not finished it so no spoilers, but never have I attacked a ginormous book with such gusto. It is super.
b) In flight entertainment on BMI owns. We got 19 or so channels showing such gems as Black Books, Father Ted, Life on Mars and Doctor Who. ^____^ Admittedly I watched those, actually slept, read JS&MN and still had time to be bored enough to watch The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift (look, alright, I hate me for choosing to watch that too, so shut up. It was utter crap despite having a particularly Katy-and-Tasha-centric soundtrack and I knew it would be.)
c) I'd forgotten how much being a random English person in America is. Aside from the "OMIGOSH I LOVE YOUR ACCENT! ARE YOU FROM AUSTRALIA?!" (^_-) I had great fun talking to, and being talked to, by randoms. Including the lady who ran up to me in duty free and asked if she could take a photo of my cardigan. I kid ye not. Apparently she liked the design and wanted to knit herself a copy of it. ^_^;;
d) The pilot of my flight to San Antonio was absolutely on crack. ^______^ (And I mean that in the generic non-drug-using sense, of course XD) He gave us the best announcements evaaarrrrr. "Welcome about the 7.25 non stop flight to Las Vegas!" (half the plane went :O!! the other half went WOOHOO!) "Be careful when you open the overhead lockers. You don't want to drop luggage on yourself or that attorney sitting next to you." "Lift the top of your belt buckle to release the seatbelt. And if you're having trouble with the buckle...you're probably not that kind of person who shoulc be allowed out unsupervised." And so many more. I was loving that flight so hard.
And now I'm back in San Antonio, with Daniel and Dog. /hurray. And also, as is somewhat evident to the nerds among us from the jubilatory remarks, my own Final Fantasy XI character. I'm a mithra (no shit, Sherlock.) For the uninitiated, Mithra are the race of catgirls. Mithra town is not unlike Katy heaven. ^_______^
I have also started playing FFXII, which I will give a few more days on before I pass judgement. The substitution of bunnygirls for catgirls is not one that pleases me particularly, but I still *like* the Viera. They'd just be better as Mithra. Shame we can't substitute the main character for someone less annoying, but hey. Passing judgement after it's had a real run, as I said.
Now I need cereal.
