Ohh

I have stuff to do, mildly dull things to say, but right now I am so tired. o_0 I just feel like I need a placeholder sat here tonight. I do have to get up tomorrow morning for the neighbourhood clean-up though, so I should be in bed.

Oh and my back really aches and my mental capacities are having one of those stupid fritzes again. I hate that feeling of constant underlying stress, it really does bad things to me. -_-

Road Trip!!

As she has already mentioned, we went on a ROAD TRIP (said with obligatory American accent) on Tuesday. To Nagasaki. Which is a really awesome city.

Now, it wouldn't surprise me if everyone reading this thought the one same and very obvious thing about going to Nagasaki, and yep, we went and saw the bomb museum and it was a very worthwhile thing, BUT! There's so much more to Nagasaki than just the atomic bomb-related stuff.

One of the things I really enjoyed about visiting Nagasaki is that it's actually incredibly cosmopolitan. Nagasaki has an apparently famous and quite pretty Chinatown, where we had lunch, and it's the centre of Christianity in Japan, so I got my wish to see some actual Japanese churches. And they're really pretty in Nagasaki. ^______^ The very very beautiful one we visited second is dedicated to the twenty-six martyrs and had loads of really interesting artefacts in its museum. Call me a geek but I find the whole cross-culturalism thing really fascinating. @_@ We found a really awesome statue of a Buddha with a stealth crucifix carved on the back (because of the state anti-Christianity laws in force at the time it was made).

There was, however, one thing that so. very. much. made my day in Nagasaki. And that was the shop that Liz lead me in to, making me promise to keep my eyes shut, so that she could plonk me right in front of the HUGE GIANT CATBUS and watch me have a squeeage fit. And I did.

LIFE SIZED NEKOBASU!!!

It was so cool.

Yesterday wasn't quite as interesting as Tuesday, chiefly because I had a really rotten headache for most of the day, so I stayed as close to futonnage as I could. I am, however, sharing the copic markers glee now. Finally a colour medium I can actually almost work with. @_@

(I must post a review of Wander and the Colossus at some point. That game made me unhappy. >_<)

This is entry number 300! Happy bloggage birthday to me!

That is all. ^_______________^

Right Right Right

That blog entry I was promising. I really can't put it off any longer. If I don't squee about things soon I may implode.

1. Yes, I have spent the week driving her mad playing Wander and the Colossus (Shadow of the Colossus if you will, but I won't :p) and for this I apologise both publically and sincerely, but it's so goooood. It does involve a great deal of repetition, yes, but ohsogood, ohsoverygood. It's like all the exploring you never got to do in Ico in one great big huge game with bishounen and horse. ^_____^

However, I have now started mistaking buses in real life for colossi. @_@

2. The WONDER that is SHINY SHINY SAINT SEIYA. I think at the moment we are averaging about one dvd of Saint Seiya per day. It is, so very much, the shiny shiny crack. I just have no way of convincing you readership that it's worth watching because on the face of it, it's just an old shounen anime....but but but. >_< It's so good!! Aaaall the time when we're obssessing over watching it, we always see stuff we know you guys would absolutely love. AND THIS VERY MUCH INCLUDES HYOGA. Hyoga is the man. And also the only man who can be badass wearing a tiara shaped like a swan.

I KID YE NOT.

3. When I get home I'm so finding myself shameful shoujo dvd-age/manga-age in the form of Hana Yori Dango. The dorama is just the best thing on television in this country since the "We kidnapped you to see if your dog will chase after you!" show. Yes, that one was a real show. It was awesome. Almost as awesome as bint being stuck in the lift with should-be-but-isn't-bishounadude-dude in HYD. Ahahahahahahaha. ^_______^

Things I Totally Will Blog About After Work

1. Wander and the Colossus. I. Love. You. Sony. X_X

2. Saint Seiya. 60 episodes in. I. Love. You. Hyoga. ^__________^

LOVE HYOGA. LOVE

3. I really ought to have read Hana Yori Dango then the dorama would have infinately more levels of fun. o_0

Ok, nothing else to do

So bloggage. @_@ Also Rizzu isn't home from Tenjin yet and we can't very well go out for dinner without her. ^___^ The week has been largely uninteresting from a bloggage point of view, mainly because I've been working a lot. When I haven't been working I've been vegetating here, inflicting 24 on the house. Oh season 2 you melodrama ho you. We did go in to Tenjin early in the week though, where we purchased much Saint Seiya crap, and Katy got a figure of FIREFOX-KO! ^______________^ It makes me so disgustingly happy to have found an actual OS-tan in a shop. They are like hen's teeth even in this country. @_@

Oh yes, one very fun thing that happened this week, the school Halloween party. It was quite awesome. Two hours of pratting about amusing small children dressed like a cat. ^______^ It made me happy. It made me even more happy that the small people liked my costume. Even if they did make a sport of pulling my tail. 気を付けて!!わたしのしっぽ!!! @_@!

Woo! Riz is home! I should blog about how much I love King of Fighters Maximum Impact, but, fooooooooooood!
