Sad News -_-

Trev, my hamster whom many of you had met and discovered the amazing poopliness thereof, was put to sleep this morning. -_-

Apparently he'd been ill since the weekend and hadn't been able to eat or drink. The vet said he'd done well to live as long as he had (three years) because hamsters usually only live for eighteen months. He'd become very dehydrated, they could have given him fluids but apparently this would only have prolonged the inevitable.

I'm really sad that I couldn't say bye to Trev in person. It probably seems quite odd to a lot of people that I'm that upset about my hamster dying, but he is the only pet I've ever had bigger than a goldfish, and he was the source of a great deal of fun for me. Yes he looked like a poo, but therein lay his charm. And alright, so he weeed on just about everything in the living room, but he was _old_ and they don't make nappies for hamsters.

He was still the best hamster ever.

**hugs** Poor Katy-san. I can sympathise with you on this one, but remember, you gave him a really fantastic life - you must have, for him to live so long. Hugs to you, and I hopeyou feel a little better soon.

We must have done something right, I suppose. I'm consoling myself with the thought that he probably has all the cushions he could ever wish to soil in hamster heaven now. ^___^
