Nishi no Yoki Majo Episode 13 - The Most Precious Thing To Protect

…huh?
I watched this this morning and I can’t even remember what happened, so nonsensical has this become. WHO IS THE OTHER GUY WITH THE HAT? Why is the King a fat woman firing darts at people? WHY DID THE MIDDAY STAR FALL?
Oh, whatever.
So WestWitch ended up being something of a disappointment, really. Individually, every episode is actually pretty good; I can’t fault the production design, the music’s great, the acting decent enough. But the plot dissolved into illogical nonsense that didn’t really follow on from any other point in the series on occasion, and everything seemed to start coming out of nowhere.
Bah. I can’t even care enough to properly dissect the show. Never mind, at least I’m done with it now.

I’m glad we share the same opinion about the ending. The silliest anime conclusion I have ever seen. They could have easily aired the first and last episodes back to back and that would have been enough. It’s a shame such a show with big potential ended in such a disgraceful manner. Oh well, at least Adale shined to the very end and earned herself a place in the anime hall of fame as one of the best and most charismatic anime characters of all time.

I wish I didn’t have to agree with you. I was very enthusiastic when this show began. And I continued to love the design, the world, and the voice-acting of Orikasa Fumiko and Saitou Chiwa. And I even ended up actually being able to tell who was who. But your point that each individual episode seemed good but the whole didn’t hang together hits the nail on the head. What I think happened is that they tried to crush too much story down into too few epsiodes. At least that’s the excuse I’m giving them.

This is the best anime i have ever watched, and although it has its tiny flaws, it’s still 5 star material!!! You just can’t get it cuz you are a doofus with the sense of “logic” the size of a teaspoon.
