Spring 08 Preview. You Know The Drill.

Ugh, there’s too many anime starting in the April season. I’ve tried to care about them all to an extent, I really have, but even discounting all the sequels I won’t be watching there’s oodles and oodles of moving cel noodles out there.

If you want pictures, go somewhere else (I swear everyone’s doing their April previews in February now!) but a little thing like relative sloth isn’t going to stop me making ill-formed judgements about anime based on nothing but pictures and websites!

Incidentally, I haven’t included Telepathy Shoujo Ran on this list because it doesn’t start until June, but it would be on the “Please Be Good” list.

Pagination awaits!

  1. You shameless Bones fanboy! :P I can’t bring myself to care about many shows, I’ve kind of lost my will to watch stuff so I’ll just keep an eye on what everyone else’s talking about. That includes you so as lazy as you might feel I hope you write about at least ~*one*~ show not long after it airs.

    By the way I’m not so sure about Real Drive (you mean the anime with the complicated-sounding title of RD Sennou Chousashitsu?) not really being an IG gig in the way Sisters of Wellber and Toshokan Sensou are. Isn’t it a through-and-through IG show liek Ghost Hound? I dunno, looking at the staff list Crossroads is only credited for help in the “original work” (which could just be the designs or concepts in the planning stage) not the animation production. Even the scriptwriter is one of them IG people, if I’m not wrong.
    Personally I’d check it out just because it’s Kazuhiro Furuhashi, no other reason…

  3. please don’t diss Toshokan Sensou ;___;
    It’s a kind of show FMP fans will be able to enjoy, in my opinion. It’s got action, romance, comedy, and some political espionage stuff too. It’s not dumb action, unless you’re really cynical perhaps =[

    I’m not sure if my pimping will be enough to convince you, but I do hope you’ll find it in your heart to enjoy this show :P

    As for Kurenai, it reminds me of Aishiteruze Baby, more action packed and more entertainment with the naughty loli tsundere Murasaki XD

  4. Hi,

    I just want to let you know that your blog had been selected on our aggregator site at http://anime-feeds.info. Our mission is to create a one stop reading portal for everything anime related. Being selected gives your site exposure to our visitors and increases your ranking & visibility. Kindly add our link to your site if you’re feeling up to it. Thank you :)

  5. Dear Cinnamon Ass,

    Given the exponential growth of the anime blogosphere, the number of quality blogs with insightful opinions and perspectives are ever increasing. Yet a majority of the blogs out there remain isolated, lacking a sense of community and meaningful interaction. The Anime Blog Awards was created in order to bridge that gap by recognising worthy bloggers and their achievements in various fields.

    With that in mind, please visit http://animeblogawards.com for more details and vote for your favourite blog. Nominations can only be proposed by anime bloggers but there will be reader’s involvement in the voting phase. Your vote counts! It would be great if you could make a post on your blog regarding its official date (April 1st, and no, this isn’t an elaborate April Fools either) to inform your fellow anime bloggers of the award. Our vision is to make this the first major event for all anime bloggers and something we can look forward to every year.

    Regards,
    The Anime Blog Awards Committee
