Cinnamon Ass

Kazuma strikes a bargain with his father to beat up the evil green glowing culprit behind the wind-usage murders, a member of the Fuuga clan. Meanwhile, Ren is planned as a sacrifice to an evil demon sealed away years ago, and Ayano continues to somehow not annoy me with her tsundere schtick.

Kazuma is a rather inscrutable character. Just when I think I’ve got a handle on him, he does something assy that doesn’t really fit with whatever he’s just been doing. I can’t think of nay examples from this episode (mostly because I can’t remember it very well and I’ve just finished the next arc…) but he does have a habit of pulling mercenary motives out of thin air. I suppose it’s probably just to wind Ayano up.
